In which division should I register my child?

A player’s baseball division is determined by what’s called a BASEBALL AGE. These “ages” are determined by the leagues in which our teams are chartered – and are adhered to by all teams in all leagues.

BASEBALL AGE = Child’s age on April 30th of the current season year.

Division registrations are established by age. However, players may be moved up or down a division based on skill and team size– so they can get the most out of the season and their individual development. Players who have aged out of the program (age 13+ on April 30th) will not be allowed to play down in the Majors division without medical recommendation from a physician. All players who are 13-15 will play in the Babe Ruth program.

2026 Spring Baseball

Baseball Spring 2026 Divisions

Tee Ball

T-Ball is an introductory baseball/softball program for young players, focusing on fun, basic skill development, and learning the fundamentals of the game. Emphasis is on participation, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Age: Players must be 3.5-5 years old

Gameplay: Hit from a "Tee", Some limited coach pitch in the second half of the season based on player progress.

Commitment: 1 Practice during the week and 1 game on weekends. (Weather and schedule dependent)

Equipment Required: Glove, Baseball Pants, Cleats

Optional Equipment: USA Certified Bat, Helmet (these will be used items provided to coaches for team use)

Rookie A Division

Age: 6 year old players

Experience: 1 year of T-Ball recommended

Gameplay: Primarily coach-pitch, with limited kid-pitch introduced toward the end of the season. Some limited inter-town games may be played.

Evaluations: Attendance is strongly encouraged.

Commitment: 1 Practice during the week and 1 game or practice on weekends. (Weather and schedule dependent)

Rookie AA Division

Age: Primarily 7-8 year old players

Teams: Chosen by draft

Gameplay: Primarily player-pitch with some coach-pitch. Modified Little League rules. Games include both in-town and inter-town teams.

Evaluations: Attendance is required.

Commitment: Mix of 3 practices and/or games each week. 2 games or practices during the week and 1 game or practice on weekends. (Weather and schedule dependent)

Minors Division

Age: 9–10 year old players, with some 11 year old players depending on team sizes and skill levels

Exceptions: 8-year-old players may enter the AAA (Minors) draft upon request. 12-year-old players may request to remain in AAA due to certain circumstances.

Teams: Chosen by draft. Players not drafted will be placed in the AA Division.

Gameplay: Modified Little League rules with limits on base stealing. Games include both in-town and inter-town teams.

Evaluations: Attendance is required

Commitment: Mix of 3 practices and/or games each week. (Weather and schedule dependent)

Majors Division

Age: Primarily 11–12 year old players

Exceptions: 9–10 year old players may enter the Majors draft upon request

Teams: Chosen by draft. Players not drafted will be placed in the Minors (AAA) Division.

Gameplay: Modified Little League rules

Evaluations: Attendance is required

Commitment: Mix of 3 practices and/or games each week. (Weather and schedule dependent)

Babe Ruth

Age: 13–16 years old

Home Field: Rezendes Complex

Gameplay: Inter-town ruleset

Season Timing: Practices begin as soon as April. Season runs from June through the end of July with inter-town games. (This is subject to change pending Southcoast league confirmation)

Evaluations: Do not attend.

Special Requests

Any special request for team or coach placement will not be considered for any draftable division (Rookie AA, Minors, Majors, Babe Ruth). It is to ensure a competitive balance is maintained between teams in each division.

Important Dates

Registration open from 1 January to 20 February

Player evaluations the weeks of 23 February or 2 March

Parent night/team formation/drafts to be conducted week of 9 March

Practices start late March

League games start week of 13 April

League calendar ends no later than week of 22 June
