What is that large glow coming from Anthony Street?

It's the lights on the Lopes Field!  Saturday, August 17th was a very special day - The First Annual Family Fun Day and Lights On Ceremony at the Rezendes Complex.  The amount of work involved in this project was massive.

Let's talk about the lights first.  The poles and lights had been in place for a few years, but that was just the first part of what was needed.  How about the rest of the work?  Barry Kutz and Bob Riendeau to the rescue! (and many others)  Permits, transformers, electrical shed, running hundreds of feet of wire - incredible how much work was done.  All volunteer.

What else?  Nothing much:
New PA system
Paved parking lot
Fields edged
Working scoreboard on Lopes Field
Tons of stone dust spread and raked
Beautiful planting bed created
Boulders placed for landscaping

This event marked a huge milestone for the BAA. We would not have been able to offer such a great event without all of the hard work and commitment from our community members (and many others) that pulled together to accomplish this..... We thank you, you've helped create a legacy that will continue to grow in our community!
