The BAA is proud to announce the 2010 Fall Soccer Program to all the children of Berkley. This year we hope to have a lot of fun while learning new soccer techniques. As with everything the BAA does, Good Sportsmanship will be of the foremost importance with our coaches and players.

I would like to thank everyone that filled out the Soccer Survey that was distributed through your child’s school. The response was fantastic and I look forward to seeing everyone at Soccer Registration on March 29th and April 5th. The soccer season kick-off will be the first week of September and go into the second or third week of November depending on your team schedule. Practices will start 2 weeks before the start of the season

We will be looking for Volunteers for Coaching and Assistant Referees this year.

The Berkley Athletic Association is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization committed to serving the youth of Berkley through athletics and we continue to grow because of the time and passion of our volunteers and sponsors. We are in need of committed volunteers for Coaching and Assistant Referees for the new Fall Soccer season. People will also be needed to help organize the field usage and team designations. The field behind the Berkley Middle School will be used for some practices and all the games, along with the Community School fields for practices only. The Berkley School Department will be maintaining the fields but coaches and parents will have to do their part and clean up after all practices and games.

Interested in Soccer Spring Travel for 2009?

There has been a lot of interest in BAA Spring Travel Soccer. If your child might be interested in Travel Soccer, please indicate so on the registration form. If you would also be willing to coach or help sponsor a team please also indicate this on the registration form. The BAA will be need of an individual to appoint to the Director of Soccer Spring Travel. They will be in charge of arranging, organizing, and advising the travel teams and their coaches.

Thank You Volunteers

Each year, children from Kindergarten through 12th grade participate in safe, fun, fair sports sponsored by the BAA. With the continued and caring support of our volunteers, I foresee that the 2008 Fall Soccer Program will be a great success for the children of Berkley.

Thank You, Bruce Lacerda

P.S.
We have contacted Taunton Youth Soccer League and they have expressed good luck to us. They would also like to make it known, that any child that still wishes to play in their League, will be happily accepted.
