Fundrai$ers
Ever wonder why non-profit organizations are always raising money? Because it costs money to run programs that benefit people…yet have no other form of income!
At the BAA, we run year-round sports programs, maintain playing facilities, buy uniforms, pay referees, give out trophies, make capital improvements to our facilities and try to plan for the future.
The only way we can do all that - without making the cost of participation prohibitive - is through fundraising.
Our Fundraising Committee is always looking for great ideas for raising money. Each year, the BAA sponsors a Golf Tournament, has a Meat-On-A-Stick event, raises money through raffles and all-around fun at the Baseball/Softball Opening Day Celebration…and many more.
We also raise money by asking local business to sponsor teams and place signs in our outfields. It's all part of offering the children of Berkley a fun, fulfilling and uplifting athletic experience.
You can help…by donating your time and talents to the BAA. Our meetings are the First Monday of every month (second Monday on months with holidays) at 8:00 p.m. in the Old Town Hall on the Common. Come on down and join us - and help us make athletic dreams come true for Berkley's brightest.
Up Coming Fundraising Events
The BAA trys to provide an array of fundraising activities over the course of the year. Some are for the whole family to enjoy, a few are really fun "Parent's Nights Out." Regardless, a good time is had by all and ALL the proceeds benefit your children's activities, improve their sport, and increase their safety. Please make some time to be aware of all our fundraising events, attend a few... and even ask how you can help make it better.
